About me
Growing up on a farm I have always loved being around animals, especially dogs! My grandmother taught me how to care for and respect animals through real-life responsibility and leadership.
Since 2017, I have been studying and training dogs to help everyday families enjoy life with their dogs!
I have attended various seminars, workshops, shadow and mastermind programs to develop a wide range of knowledge and hands-on education.
In 2021, I retired from a 24 year career in finance and corporate coaching to focus on my passion to educate, encourage, and support dog owners through their dog training journey!
Today, you can find my home bustling with dogs; whether going on adventures with our personal dogs, taking field trips with client dogs, boarding or fostering dogs we are always learning and having fun!

My dog training philosophy.
My goal as a family dog trainer is to help families better communicate what they do and what they do not want from their dog to ensure safety and peace for everyone. To achieve this I believe in the value of having a permission based lifestyle that clearly establishes rules, structure and boundaries for you and your dog. I use a variety of dog training methods and tools to help create consistency and reliable communication so we can all enjoy life together!
What tools I use.
Prong collars
A prong collar is a training tool designed to provide clear, gentle communication with your dog. Contrary to common misconceptions, when used correctly, it mimics the natural corrections dogs give each other through pressure, making it an effective way to improve leash manners and responsiveness. The prong collar distributes pressure evenly around the neck, avoiding unnecessary strain while teaching your dog to walk politely and focus on you. It is not meant to cause pain but rather to offer a clear, fair signal that helps guide your dog toward the desired behavior.
eCollars
An eCollar (electronic collar) is a remote training tool that uses low-level, adjustable stimulation to communicate with your dog off-leash and in high-distraction environments. Modern eCollars are not shock collars—instead, they use a gentle muscle stimulation, similar to a TENS unit, to get your dog's attention without causing fear or discomfort. When properly introduced and trained, an eCollar helps reinforce commands, build off-leash reliability, and enhance your dog's overall obedience and confidence. It is a valuable tool for clear, consistent communication, allowing your dog more freedom while ensuring they listen in any situation.
